Well guys, here's the deal... I haven;t been faithful to this blog, and it's a shame. Got a lot of things coming up in the next three weeks! I've begun to use Twitter, and will use it (I promise, lol). Also, on a recent photo excursion to Durham/Raleigh, I learned how to create videos on my camera. Well, what I've decided to do is create an all new blog (coming VERY SOON!) that will allow me to update easier, add photos, AND add video. I'm looking forward to it! So, been rushing and rushing to get ready for the Charlotte Bridal show and the Concord Bridal show. I've got a new logo, a new wedding brochure, and tons of new ideas! I cannot wait to get out there and meet some new brides who share my flair of creativity! Anyway, that's all I have for now, I will be building the new blog SOON SOON SOON!!!

Long time coming!

Ok, so it's been almost a year since my last blog post. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not too great at keeping up with this, but I'm going to try harder. I've had several amazing weddings and some INCREDIBLE high school seniors recently, and I'm working on their stuff right now. I will be posting up images from my favorite events! Look back for yours to be here soon!!!!

ARGH!

OK, so I have so much that I could post about... More about Billie & Rich, stuff about Jen & Paul, Mary and Brandon's awesome wedding.. and yet.. I have so much to write, and not much time. I will say that it's awesome to photograph for other photographers and their families, because somewhere in the middle of it, the camera gets turned, lol. I did portraits for Terah today, and it was so much fun, and of course, the lens got turned on me, so we had fun with it! MORE COMING VERY SOON I HOPE!!!

Almost there!

So, this past weekend was pretty crazy cool for me! Saturday was Billie & Rich's wedding at Cabarrus Arena. To be honest, I was a bit skeptical about the location, but it was so beautiful! The coordinators there and the set up crew they had did an awesome job!!! I loved her dress too, it was just so perfect for her! And the ever cool groom and his guys were just a great bunch to photograph. What characters!!

Sunday was Paul and Jen's wedding uptown. So great! Small group, close family and friends. INCREDIBLE FOOD! I swear! The people were fun, laughing, sharing stories, and so nice! Add in the fact that Tom over at Mimosa Grill laid out a spread of brunch food like I HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE, and his wife was the best at keeping everything going. Anyway, look for pics from that coming soon too.
So this weekend is my final wedding of the year, and I guess I get to say that I'm ending the year with a bang. Mary Horton is getting married over t the Catawba Chapel (BEAUTIFUL) and the reception is over at the Salisbury Train Depot. Looking forward to it, and hoping the rain holds off!

Catching Up Just In Time!

Ever had one of those weeks where you work and work and work and think you are getting ahead, but instead, you only make it to the point you should have been at anyway? Well... it's felt like that this week. It was so awesome though! I got Alice & James Railton's wedding finished, posted online (all my weddings get online hosting!), and she has already picked up her proofs. It just makes me so happy to see a bride flip through her proofs the second she gets them, and she already has her favorites. It was AMAZING! Then had Mary stop by to view her bridals, which was, again, amazing! They turned out so great and I am sooooo impatient to get some on my website and on here! Is it the 15th yet!?!?!

The main reason I've felt like I'm not making any headway past where I should be is that my next 8 days are going to be CRAZY!! I've got Billie and Rich's wedding this Saturday, Jen and Paul's on Sunday, and Mary and Brandon next Saturday. Every one of them are going to be sooooo much fun!!

Well, that's all I have for today, time to get some sleep I guess!!

The weekend!

So, this week I've been working really hard on the weddings I have and album design and I really needed to get out from in front of the computer for a day. Well, hello Boone! I woke up early (not easy at all for me) on Friday and drove to Boone to see a friend and to hang out for the day, and of course go see ASU beat the Wofford Terriers.... Seriously.. the Terriers?? And no, I didn't attend ASU at all, but I have one amazing friend there, and since she puts up with me, I like to go visit her sometimes, hahahaha. Anyway, true to form, I'm driving up there in and the trees just look so amazing.... So I pull over, piece together my camera, and take photos while driving. = )

Anyway, with it being Halloween, the campus was decorated accordingly, as were several of the students. After getting my shopping done at the Student store and Mast General store (LOVE IT!), I met up with my friend and we got ready for the game.

It was a great game, ASU won, and the band did the "thriller" dance during halftime!! So, came back home that night too, around 2 am, and tried to get some sleep for Mary's bridal session!

And it continues

Ok, so the site is still in progress. STILL! I've gotten most of the actual content on there, and sometimes it all works, sometimes barely anything works, and sometimes it doesn't work at all... It's a process, I know, but I'm so impatient!

Last Saturday was Kendall and Eddie's wedding. I was soooo stoked for this wedding, because when I met up with her the Sunday before, she told me about the fact that there were going to be three classic muscle cars at her wedding that she wanted portraits taken by. Cars are one of my (many) things, so I was just soooo ready for it! It was more than I had even expected! A '70 silver Camaro with a big blower, a red Chevelle, and the best of the best, my dream car, a '68-69 (can't remember which!) SS Camaro that was orange with white racing stripes!!

So beyond the cars, I once again managed to step in an anthill... This would be the second time this month that I stood in an anthill while photographing... Not fun! The itching is still there... I really don't want to have to get a benadryl shot... *shudder* needles.... yech!

Stuff is calming down for the month, just editing these weddings and working on about 6 albums (YIKES!!). Next month I've got Billie & Rich, Mary & Brandon, and Paul & Jen! Super excited about them all!!

HAVE A GREAT DAY!! Thanks for reading!
